Our Story

The heart of VHLI began with a personal loss. Recently, our family mourned the passing of our grandmother in India. Her journey was made more difficult by a simple but devastating factor: a lack of awareness. She lived in a region where information about her specific health conditions was not easily accessible, and by the time the gravity of the situation was understood, it was too late.

Losing her taught us a painful lesson—that medical knowledge is just as important as medical treatment. We realized that if a lack of information could lead to such a tragedy in India, we could not stand by while families in the San Joaquin Valley faced similar "information gaps" regarding local risks like Valley Fever, Heat Safety etc.
